The Bat-Blog has readers from all over the world & I really love that. Sometimes members send us cool photos & that's the best. Here's an example. Our friend Hans lives in the Netherlands. New Batman Toy: HARLEY QUINN Lego Figure

Just a quick post to let Batman Lego Fans know that in the next wave of Batman Play Sets they're gonna make a special Harley Quinn figure & vehicle play set. Isn't she cute?! I like her HUGE mallet & she comes with a gun too. She will get a Bank Truck Van & Batman will have a Bat-Cycle...cool! Plus, the reports I've been reading is that Lego is gonna keep the characters & playsets all "Comic Book Batman" related & will not be doing any that tie into the Dark Knight movie. That's cool. I like the "regular Batman" the best anyway & don't worry, there will be tons of TDK merchandise to buy, believe me, ha ha!

I'm still kind of in shock about the news of Heath Ledger's death but I thought it would be a good idea to try to get back to normal. So, I decided to try to sort of keep myself busy so I can think about other things. Just before receiving this shocking news I was working on these 4 desktop wallpapers with a "Lego Batman: The Videogame" theme so I'm gonna post them now. Basically they're Lego characters from the video game: The Joker ( close-up), Batman, Robin, & The Joker ( Full Figure ). They also have the cool Lego logo. I don't wanna dwell on the sad news about Heath Ledger & hope these New Batman Wallpapers bring some smiles to people, they are kinda funny, ha ha! I think they would make a great background for a MySpace layout because when the game comes out it will be extremely popular.

Batman Toys: KILLER CROC Villain Character

The other day a loyal reader sent me a picture of an Original Animation Cel from Batman: The Animated Series. The picture was of KILLER CROC who you don't see that often. I mean, not like the Joker or Two-Face. Anyways, it got me to thinking about what kind of toys have been made of that character so I did a little research. Here's a few examples: Mattel™ made a Hot Wheels 2-Pack with a truck that has KillerCroc graphics. I think it came out in 2002. DC Direct made a set of Mini-Mates ( sort of like Lego figures ) of a Battle-Damaged Batman & KillerCroc. Mattel has made a few action figures that are very detailed & shown in 2 different pictures here. HeroClix made a very small game piece figure of him & in the last photo you can see that Lego made a game set called "The Bat-Boat Hunt For Killer Croc #7780"...sweet! Thank you Gary for sending us that pic, it really inspired me, ha ha! We want to invite other readers to do the same or just tell us what kinda toys you would like to see.

REMEMBER : Every Wednesday is "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" here at the BAT-BLOG!! We always strive for the best graphics & because the wallpapers are custom-made by us you can not find them anywhere else but here...except this week, ha ha! This week we're using 2 Batman Wallpapers made by somebody else! The 1st one we found on a webpage for a graphic designer who chose Batman as a subject to learn a new software application he found, sort of a test. His name is Ray Dillion & his artwork is awesome. Just do a Google Search for his work & you'll see. I guess he chose the Batman because he's a fan of him, that's cool. The picture he made used some "blur effect" on the snow flakes falling & some of them look "out of focus", like they would be if a real camera took a picture. It's a nice effect & it adds a weird sense of reality to it, the pic is great too! The 2nd picture is one that was offered by the LEGO TOY Company Webpage awhile back....it's pretty sweet. It shows their awesome Lego Batmobile Toy in action, a fan favorite! Giant-Size BATMAN LEGO STATUE 2006 NY Comicon

Here are 2 extremely cool photos mailed in by a loyal Bat-Blog Reader who was lucky enough to get to go to the 2006 New York Comicon this year, last November. This is a super-giant-sized statue of THE DARK KNIGHT made entirely out of LEGOS LEGO PIECES!! OMG, look how BIG that thing is! It must have weighted 5 tons! This is one major comic book convention I would really love to go to. I've been hearing some great stories about it for years. Thanks Thomas for the great pics!
